Q How do you think each of the following will pose a threat to the divine power of kings, as well as the authority of the church: The Scientific Revolution, The Age of Reason, Colonization of the Americas.
The Scientific Revolution would be a threat to the divine power of kings because there would be individuals using more of logic to find answers for practical questions of daily human lives (Matthews, Noble & Platt, 2014). There would not be suggestions taken from the kings and the influence of the kings to exploit their subjects would decrease. In case of the authority of the Church, there would be questions raised by the believers of the Church. The questions would basically be on the mysterious aspects of the Church which might not have much logic to convince the believers.
